Q: What do I get with the program?

Q: Can I use a company name with the TAP program?

A: Yes. However several restrictions do apply. If you are planning on using a business name, we cannot provide coverage under our E&O Insurance Policy. Additionally if your business name is incorporated you may need to provide proof of compliance with your states seller of travel laws.

Q: Do you provide Errors & Ommissions Insurance?

A: Agents in our program that make reservations utilizing our agency information are covered under our E&O policy. Agents using a business name must secure their own E&O policy and will not be covered by the agency.

Q: How much commission do I earn?

A: Depending on your level in the program, up to 80%. Normal commission split is appproximately 70% on all bookings. Agents earning over $2000 will receive 75% commission on preferred suppliers and agents earning over $5000 will receive 80% commission on preferred suppliers.

Q: When are commissions paid?

A: Monthly. If a commission is received in March, the agent will receive payment on their April statement. Usually the third week of the month.

Q: How do I receive confirmations and documents?

A: All confirmations are scanned and made available to you via a .pdf file in your email. Documents are shipped to the agency then to the agent in all cases. Shipping Fees will be subtracted from your commission for that booking.

Q: Do you provide GDS access?

A: No. In the past it was more profitable to book air, car & hotel individually. In the modern travel industry however it is not. Our focus is on selling cruise and vacation packages. We offer access to many online booking tools, but we do not provide GDS access.

Q: How do I book Air, Car & Hotel without a GDS?

A: Via the provided booking engines on your website, directly via vendor websites or through programs like CCRA or Consolidator Shopper which we provide access to free of charge. Service Fee Processing through our merchant account is also available.

Q: Is Only Fun Vacations an ARC agency?

A: No. We are both CLIA & IATA accredited but we do not have an ARC number which allows us to print airline tickets. Since airlines no longer pay commission, it simply isn't profitable for us to maintain the ARC affiliation.

Q: How do I receive documents & brochures?

A: Documents can be shipped directly to your clients or to your address, same for brochures. Shipping fees will be debited to your account.

Q: Who are your preferred vendors?

A: While we can book with any vendor we have the best relationships with Apple Vacations, Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Brendan, & Pleasant Holidays. We also are members of Signature Travel Network and encourage members to book with Signature preferred suppliers.

Q: Do you provide training?

A: While we do not provide training on becoming a travel agent, we do make available every educational opportunity that becomes available to continue education. We also hold conference calls with vendors and agents. For individuals with little or no experience in travel, we can assist you with bookings until such time you feel comfortable handling the reservation process yourself. Any bookings that we "train" you on will be subject to a lower commission rate of 40%.
